The main protagonist is an incredibly skilled illustrator who has been caught up a series of murders that took place at Kiersau Abbey over twenty five years. The only person with the ability and determination to discover the perpetrators. Each of his decisions leads to lasting consequences that inexorably draw him towards the center of an ongoing plot.
